TERMS OF SERVICE
The rules of engagement for review and sealing work — written the way we work: scope in writing, standard named, no promises the engineering can't keep.
Who provides the services
SEALANVIL is a brand of Apex Grid Engineering PLLC. All engineering services offered through this site are provided by Apex Grid Engineering PLLC and its licensed engineers. References to "we" or "the firm" mean Apex Grid Engineering PLLC. Nothing on this site creates an engineering engagement; engagements are formed only under Section 2.
How an engagement is formed
An engagement begins when (1) you submit plans and project information through the intake form or by email, (2) we confirm the discipline, project jurisdiction and completeness of the submission and issue a written scope and quote stating the review to be performed, the deliverable, the fee and the engagement timeline, and (3) you accept that scope in writing. Work performed before acceptance is limited to scoping and completeness review.
The review standard
Reviews are performed by, or under the responsible charge of, a professional engineer licensed in the project jurisdiction. The responsible engineer independently reviews the submitted documents against the applicable adopted codes and the profession's standard of care. Sealing is performed only when the responsible engineer approves the work. We do not guarantee that any submission will be sealed, and a fee paid for review is a fee for the review performed — including where the review concludes that corrections are required or that sealing cannot be offered.
What we do not guarantee
We do not guarantee permit approval, plan-check outcomes, inspection results, construction outcomes, or the decisions of any authority having jurisdiction. Timeline statements in a quote are good-faith estimates for the stated engagement based on the submitted scope; they are not guarantees, and they assume timely receipt of complete documents and client responses. Jurisdictional availability of any service is confirmed at scoping for each engagement.
Your responsibilities
You represent that the documents you submit are yours to submit for review, that project information provided is accurate and complete, and that you will disclose known deficiencies, prior review comments and jurisdictional correspondence relevant to the work. You are responsible for the design decisions embodied in documents you author; our review does not transfer authorship. Revised documents must be resubmitted through the engagement channel so the review record stays complete.
Fees
Fees are as stated in the accepted written quote for the engagement. Correction cycles beyond the quoted scope, additional disciplines, and resubmittal work are quoted before they are performed. Payment terms are stated in the quote.
Deliverables and records
Deliverables are the reviewed documents, sealed where the responsible engineer has approved them, together with any written correction list or review correspondence included in the scope. We retain engagement records — submissions, review notes, correspondence and deliverables — as professional practice and applicable law require.
Confidentiality
Project documents are treated as confidential client material and handled under our Privacy Notice. We do not publish, sell or reuse your plan sets or project information for any purpose outside your engagement and the operation of this service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the version in force for an engagement is the version referenced in its written quote. Questions about these terms: info@apexgrideng.com · (480) 490-0064.
