STRAIGHT ANSWERS,
NO FINE PRINT VOICE.

The questions every client asks before the first set changes hands.

What exactly does SEALANVIL do?

We review engineering plans prepared by architects, designers, contractors and other engineers, and — when the responsible professional engineer approves the work — we seal them. Services are provided by Apex Grid Engineering PLLC and its licensed engineers, across structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil disciplines, plus plan-correction work.

Can you stamp drawings someone else designed?

Yes, when the sealing engineer performs a genuine, independent review sufficient to take responsible charge of the work: criteria established, calculations verified, corrections required and made. Sealing without that review is prohibited in every state. The long answer is on our answers page.

Who seals my plans?

A professional engineer licensed in your project's jurisdiction, exercising responsible charge over the review. Engagements are matched to the license map at scoping; if a jurisdiction cannot be lawfully served for your project, we say so at scoping.

How much does it cost?

It is scoped per package — disciplines, calculation depth, completeness and jurisdictional complexity set the effort — and quoted in writing before work begins. We publish no rate card, because honest pricing follows the actual review, not a sheet count.

How long will it take?

Your written quote states the timeline estimate for your specific engagement, built from the actual package. We do not publish universal turnaround guarantees: timelines depend on the set's scope and completeness, and on correction cycles where the work needs them. Permit review by your jurisdiction runs on its own clock after submittal.

Is a seal guaranteed if I pay for a review?

No. The fee buys the review. The seal is issued only when the responsible engineer approves the work — that independence is what makes the seal worth anything to a building department, and to you.

What should I send?

The current plan set (drawings and calculations), the project state and city, the discipline(s) needed, any soils report or survey the work depends on, any permit or plan-check comments already received, and your deadline. The intake form takes all of it.

How are my plan sets handled?

As confidential client documents: encrypted transfer, access-controlled storage, access limited to the team on your engagement, and an audit trail on every submission. The Privacy Notice has the full statement.

Do you work in my state?

The state matrix on this site documents the licensure mechanics, code environment and review practice for all 50 states. Engagement availability in a specific jurisdiction is confirmed at scoping for your project — that confirmation is part of the written quote.

My plans already got correction comments. Can you help?

Yes — plan corrections are a core service: the comment list is deconstructed, the engineering revisions are performed or verified, and the resubmittal package is assembled to answer every comment, in the format your jurisdiction closes files on.
